It is truly wonderful that we have the opportunity to provide our Pre-Thanksgiving meal to those who would not normally be able to sit down to such incredible bounty – but the hungry are hungry every day of the year. And they will be, until we are in a place where we can do something about that. It is a dream of Pastor Anthony’s to be able to call the hungry to the table once a week. Yes, once a week! With your help, he can. He envisions opening our doors as well as our hearts to 500 hungry people each and every week of the year, so that they can sit down to a warm, nutritious dinner of chicken and vegetables, with rolls and rice and dessert, as well as a bottle of water. He wants to enable our brothers and sisters of Oakland to come and enjoy a good meal and fellowship with their brethren to heal them and strengthen them, knowing that someone cares enough to sacrifice. It’s just a small sacrifice, but when added to the sacrifices and gifts of others, it can move mountains.
Taylor Memorial Church exists to provide more than a place of praise and fellowship. It exists so that God’s people may come together in a spirit of love and improve the lives of our fellow human beings. That means resources: needed items, time and money. In order to continue to make a difference in the lives of others, Taylor needs your help. Here are some of the things your valuable donations make possible:
Please…won’t you help us help those in need?
If you wish to donate via check, make it payable to Taylor Memorial Church. If you wish to donate items, this is what we need:
Think of the difference any one of these items will make in someone’s life. Think of the difference it will make to know someone like you cares enough to share just a little. Thank you and God bless you.
